Revitalise with
Polynucleotides:

Polynucleotides are a form of biostimulator derived from DNA segments that regenerate tissue, increasing collagen and elastin production. We are excited to introduce this innovative treatment at Sisu Clinic, which will result in healthier and more youthful-looking skin.

Are Polynucleotides safe?

It might sound fishy, but this DNA structure, derived from salmon sperm, significantly enhances tissue regeneration. It boosts elastin and collagen production, decreases inflammation, improves tissue quality and density, and reduces pigmentation. The treatment is an injectable; we use a tiny needle to administer it just under the skin at specific points on the face and body. Polynucleotides require a series of treatments; to achieve the best results, we recommend 3-4 treatments spaced two weeks apart.

Your Questions
Answered By Your Doctor

Where can I get Polynucleotides?

Sisu Clinic has always led the way in providing a conscientious and ethical stance in the world of aesthetic medicine, we don’t do snake oil. What does that mean? If it doesn’t work, we don’t do it. That’s why we are happy to announce our Polynucleotide treatment is available across all of our Irish and UK clinics, we have not only had the treatment ourselves but our nearest and dearest have raved about it.

Where can Polynucleotides be used?

Given their powerful regenerative effects, polynucleotides can be injected into several areas, including the face, neck, and under-eye areas. One of the most popular areas to treat and one that gives insanely great results is the undereye area. Crepey, wrinkled under-eye skin, you’ve met your match!

Who is suitable for polynucleotides?

Everyone can benefit from Polynucleotides! They enhance tissue quality, elasticity, and tone, resulting in soft, hydrated skin. Younger patients who aren't ready for dermal fillers appreciate the fresh-faced look, while older patients see improvements and can target specific issues like under-eye wrinkles. Polynucleotides, backed by science, effectively address these challenging areas, simplifying treatments for both patients and injectors alike.

How many treatments of Polynucleotide do you need?

Polynucleotides are not a one-hit-wonder; typically, patients need 3 to 4 treatments spaced 3-4 weeks apart, aligning with the skin's 30-day cell turnover cycle. Results begin to show about 2 weeks after the first treatment and improve with each subsequent session. Younger, skin-conscious patients generally require three cycles, while we recommend four cycles for older patients or those with specific problem areas.

What does a polynucleotide treatment look like?

At Sisu Clinic, every treatment begins with a personalized consultation. Are you suitable for Polynucleotides, or would dermal fillers or even surgery like blepharoplasty be more appropriate? If PDRN is right for you, the procedure is quick, taking about 5-10 minutes with a tiny needle to inject just under the skin. You may notice some swelling, particularly in the under-eye area, which typically subsides within 24-48 hours.

Is there much down time after polynucleotide treatment?

With any injectable treatment, swelling and bruising may occur. Your doctor will advise if you are likely to bruise post-treatment. This can take anywhere from 5-10 days to resolve, and you can cover the area with makeup 24 hours after the treatment. For under-eye treatments using polynucleotides, expect swelling for 24-48 hours. This area has relatively thin skin, so swelling may appear more pronounced compared to other areas.

What's the best Polynucleotide?

At Sisu Clinic, we have teamed up with Mastelli, an Italian manufacturer leading the Polynucleotides revolution in Europe with their top-tier product, 'plinest.' At Sisu Clinic, we are very selective not only about the treatments we introduce but also about whom we team up with, and the team leading 'plinest' is world-class.

Can you combine polynucleotides with other treatments?

In aesthetic medicine, benefits are twofold: compliments on your appearance and the effective synergy between treatments. Combining Anti-Wrinkle with polynucleotides offers a powerful refresh or a red-carpet look. Adding a tissue modulator like Hyaluronic acid-based Profhilo enhances this effect even further. Our patients report that this trio often leads strangers to inquire about their skincare routines—truly a testament!
