Liquid Facelift Botox

A Liquid Facelift is a term that is used in relation to the utilisation of Botox and dermal fillers to offset the effects of aging. The advent of injectables has resulted in a surge in the popularity of such procedures. At SISU Clinic all prospective patients undergo a free aesthetic consultation, it is at this point that a specific procedure pathway is designed around your facial anatomy. Botox is very affective for the upper portions of the face whilst dermal fillers, a volume restoring product are very effective for the lower portion of the face.

Who would benefit from a Liquid Facelift?

The answer to this specific question is related to the facial structure of the individual. From your early to mid thirties the mid portion of the face begins to loose volume. This can result in a hollowing of the mid face, this becomes most noticeable in people that have leaner faces and tend to carry less fat tissue. Loss of volume to the mid portion of the face can also affect the areas above and below. Deep bags under the eyes and a down turn of the mouth can result. Restoration of facial volume using hyaluronic acid dermal fillers helps to lessen the hollow appearance and restores structure and definition to areas where it was previously lost.

Will a liquid facelift be very noticeable?

The effect of both combined botox and dermal filler treatments is subtle, but hugely effective in reducing the signs of aging and volume loss. Restoration of volume results in a fuller appearance and softens the contours of the face allowing for a more youthful appearance.

Downtime from a liquid facelift?

One of the reasons the popularity of this injectable, non-surgical procedure has risen dramatically is the fact that downtime is minimal, if any at all. Conventional surgical facelifts require anaesthesia, hospital stays and bandages. With a SISU Clinic liquid face lift the procedure is carried our in our clinic and the treatment is well tolerated by patients. Some mild swelling and bruising are the two main post treatment issues.

What are the treatment areas of the face for Liquid Facelifts?

As we talked about in the above paragraph, we tend to divide the face into upper and lower segments. For the upper portion of the face botox is very effective. The main areas are the glabella, procerus muscles (the area between your eyes), the frontalis muscles (your upper forehead) and your orbiculari oculi (crow's feet). Targeted treatment with botox at these points results in a softer, less stressed and more youthful appearance. For the lower portion of the face, dermal fillers are the main treatment option. The main areas are the nasolabial folds (the area between your nose and the corner of your mouth), the cheek area, lips and the marionette lines (the lines at the corner of your mouth).
