Not as scary as it sounds
How Microneedling Works
Microneedling involves a gliding roller that uses extremely tiny needles to prick the skin. This is not painful, but it sends a signal to the body that there is an 'injury'. The body then sends a flood of new collagen and skin tissue to the area that has been treated, creating smoother, firmer skin.
Benefits of Microneedling
Microneedling helps many patients with a range of skin problems and age concerns. It can diminish scars (including acne scars and scars from wounds), sun spots, and other skin discoloration. Microneedling also helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and large pores, delivering brighter, firmer skin.
What Microneedling Treatment Involves
After your free consultation and talking you through all of the information you need - as well as answering your questions - your SISU doctor will use a topical anaesthetic to numb any discomfort. Beginning the treatment, your doctor will smoothly and evenly glide a small, pen-like tool over your skin. This device makes minute pin-pricks under your skin - so small that you probably will not notice them after your treatment. Your SISU doctor will then lightly massage an antioxidant serum and/or calming treatment into your skin. The procedure itself should only take 30 minutes or less.
